Food Distribution

Mondays from 9am to 12pm

Our food distribution service is the core of our mission at the Henry County Food Pantry, addressing the urgent needs of food insecure individuals and families in our community. In partnership with Feeding Southwest Virginia and the USDA, we ensure a diverse array of nutritious food items reaches those in need each week. Our streamlined distribution process prioritizes warmth and efficiency, ensuring that every visitor receives the support they deserve.

The Henry County Food Pantry hosts a convenient drive-thru food box distribution service every Monday from 9 am to 12 pm. Participants meeting the criteria receive a box packed with various shelf-stable essentials like canned goods, rice, and pasta, supplemented with fresh produce and frozen meats when available. Guided by our compassionate volunteers, visitors are warmly greeted and assisted throughout the process, affirming our commitment not just to providing meals but also fostering dignity, compassion, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Closes Closet

Mondays from 9am to 12 pm

At the Henry County Food Pantry, we recognize that access to clothing and household essentials is as crucial as access to food. That’s why we proudly operate a clothes closet alongside our food distribution service, offering additional support to individuals and families in need. Stocked with a diverse range of clothing, hygiene products, household items, and even pet food, our clothes closet ensures our clients have the essentials for thriving lives.

Visitors to our clothes closet are warmly welcomed by our dedicated team of volunteers, who assist in finding suitable items, whether warm winter coats, professional attire, or everyday essentials. Beyond tangible goods, our clothes closet fosters empowerment and dignity, embodying our belief that everyone deserves respect and support on their journey to self-sufficiency. Operating in tandem with our food distribution service, these initiatives exemplify our commitment to serving our community with compassion and integrity, offering not just assistance, but hope and empowerment.

Referral Program

Scheduled times

At the Henry County Food Pantry, we understand that some individuals may need extra support beyond our regular services. That’s why we’ve introduced our referral program, offering individuals referred by partnering companies access to our referral closet. Clients can find a diverse inventory of essential household items to clothing for all ages and even toys for children and infants, our referral closet offers a range of high-quality items to support individuals and families in our community.

At the Henry County Food Pantry, we’re committed to providing comprehensive support to those in need, and our referral program is just one way we’re expanding our services to meet the diverse needs of our community. Through partnerships with local companies and the support of our volunteers, we aim to empower individuals and families on their journey toward self-sufficiency and stability.
